Funny T-shirts

I was looking for a shirt for my hubby in SM City. He always wanted a white printed t-shirt and also a plain white t-shirt. As I was window shopping, I came across a boutique where they are selling funny t-shirts with big letter captions. I was about to buy two t-shirts but instead opted to get it next time because I want that my hubby will be the one to choose which t-shirts he like.

Eat Alone

I will eat alone later since Charles is no where to be found and he ate ahead on his own while I had to let CT sleep first. I was already hungry and he knows I had no lunch. He even crumpled the wrapper of the banana I brought home as if he would throw them away. He knows I am upset and when I looked at him while he was at the kitchen eating dinner, he just smiled at me. Very good hubby don't you think so? My talking about having good husbands that won't even know if you are upset. That is how good they are. You'll go crazy and for them as if nothing happened at all.

Sleepy

It has been a long day at home watching over CT and evenif I myself is not feeling well. I have to work online and still communicate with the office somehow for some concerns as well as send out emails I was supposed to send the other day. Well they were just FYI emails mostly but nevertheless still quite important. I will sleep now and thank you friends for dropping by.

Wordless Wednesday

We miss going to the beach and being at places where we can just relax and unwind. This photo makes me miss it more especially when the daily routine in life gets stressful already. Hope everyone had a relaxing and great WW!!! Thanks everyone who had dropped by at all my entries for WW! See you again next week! Have fun!

Weekend Snapshot #4

My first Davao Food Trip without my hubby was memorable still because of these very delicious crabs served to us during the 6th leg of the Davao Food Trip. I had to eat with my bare hands to enjoy it even more while enjoying the company of 6 other fortunate bloggers like me who had a great treat from Hanoi Vietnamese Cuisine. It's another great weekend eve without hubby who just got well from being sick.

Work

Hubby's work had been affected when we lost the nanny and CT got sick more than a week ago. He wanted to take an emergency leave when I really need to report to work because of the renewal of our business permit. But I was afraid that it might also affect his effectiveness in his job.

Every year they have a self assessment evaluation where they get feedback about their own effectiveness on the job involving work attendance record as I would like him to have a perfect attendance at work aside from having a reward for that I do not want to jeopardize his chances of getting a superior performance evaluation. I just hope that even if he has to take an EL at least his performance evaluation won't be affected that much.

Weekend Snapshot

If you have been to my other blogs, I have posted other photos taken during the 4th leg of the Davao Food Trip organized by Blogie. This is the interior of Salutti, an Italian restaurant at the back of Claude's at the Habana Compound, Rizal Street, Davao City.

After that we also had this delicious pasta with white sauce if I am not mistaken by Sir Llowen. Our office mates had been invited to his pasta and paella taste test at Sir Llowen's house. We arrived just in time for eating! Hmmmm food... food... and more food! What a delicious day yesterday was! I hope every weekend is just like yesterday!

Time to Change

I thought it was time to change my template for this very first blog of mine. It had that harbor look since I started this blog last year and thanks to my hubby who is helping me change the look since yesterday. It is simpler now I think but I am adjusting to it. I am still on a lookout for a better one but for now this will do. I hope you will keep on visiting me and more even now.

Weekend Snapshot

(photo removed)
This is a shot taken as a souvenir of the set-up at the venue where CT's advance first birthday party celebration was held yesterday, January 12. Shown are the baby gifts from our generous and thoughtful friends and officemates; CT's Goldilocks birthday cake; the lootbags and prizes for the games, balloons and tarpaulin which we had made at Artcom to serve as the backdrop too.

Getting Impatient

I am getting impatient with my domain blog as it keeps on going back to the log in page every time I submit a post for publishing. I am really getting frustrated and do not know what is wrong with it. I have noticed this for a few days now that is why I have not been able to update it anymore. Gosh I want to shout! I have somehow rewritten my post about four times already and all effort goes down futile. It won't even save the draft. I have not slept yet and it is already 420AM now.

Donations

My hubby and I were discussing a little about making donations to the church undergoing construction and speaking of donations, there is this one site called Car Angel at http://www.carangel.com that is a non-profit company which makes use of car donation and other kinds of donations to raise money in order to make videos for teens and kids like this one located at http://youtube.com/user/boatangel. I watched the video and it was interesting and enjoy to watch also. It was entitled Donkey Ollie Journey to Jerusalem which has subtitles in Spanish. You can try watching the video and see for yourself.

Cleanse Your Colon

My tummy still has not recovered from eating too much during the holidays. As much as I wanna discipline myself from eating too much still it's good to eat and especially that I have my cycle coming up I like to eat more these days as I get hungry more. But then I want to detoxify and clean up my digestive system from all those not so healthy food sometimes that we eat. I try to drink tea which they say helps but there is colon cleanse which allows our colon the chance to rebuild itself and go back to functioning properly. As my sister would say, clean up the mess, detoxify and live healthy. So you need a colon cleanse then when you experience fatigue, depression, irritability, constipation, gas and bloating, diarrhea, colds, flu, acne, eczema or other skin problems. Get it now before it's too late.

Winnie the Pooh Place Mats

I was looking for party favors ad prizes for CT 1st birthday party on January 15 which we will celebrate in advance on Saturday, January 12. I don't know but I have always love buying stuff with Winnie the Pooh design for CT from clothes to anything. But not really all his stuff have Pooh designs. Well I found these nice fancy Winnie the Pooh mats sold at Victoria Plaza department store last December when they had a midnight sale. So I bought them initially to start a collection of Pooh stuff. I am not really sure though if the older kids will appreciate these when the receive it. But I am surely would like to keep them for my collection if I have other choices for the prizes.

Ube Piaya ( Purple Yam Pie )

Ube Piaya or Purple Yam Pie. This was the pasalubong from one of our consultants, Sir Llowen, who spent their Christmas vacation in Bacolod City, Philippines. I like this because it is soft and chewy unlike other locally made Ube Piaya sold in the market here in Davao City. Thank you Sir. It's really yummy and delicious! Ube Piaya from Merci Pasalubong Treats.

Another Busy Week

It is Monday once again and a start of another week at work. We will be busy this week with a start of a project and people from our main office coming in for the said project. I just hope that I will have an early start in processing the renewal of our business permit. I still have to wait for the budget. But I do not want to process near the deadline on the 20th as there would be a lot of people rushing to process the same. Hope it would not take me more than a day to finish it.

Calla Lilies as my Wedding Flower

My dream wedding flower was tulip but when I knew about how much it would cost us for a few stems of it, I told my wedding florist to find another alternative. Then I was surprised that they used calla lilies for my bouquet. It was beautiful and more than what I expected actually for the substitute wedding flower they chose for me. Well today, it is actually no problem when you are looking for affordable and easy to find wedding flowers. For example if you want to buy wholesale calla lilies you can check out FiftyFlowers.com. They have premium and the best wedding flowers and greens that you need for your wedding. I am glad they also have my favorite flower during my wedding - the gerbera. Their flowers are delivered at a below wholesale cost and with less hassle. They have a variety of bulk flowers for all occasions, including premium bouquets, table arrangements, centerpieces, and wedding flower packages. They avail of overnight express shipping to their customer and therefore you can save up to 75% on their flower cost. So if your are looking for an easy way to find the perfect flowers for your wedding and save money without going through a lot of hassle, then check out FiftyFlowers.com and make the best day of your life the best it can be.

Coming Up

CT's first birthday actually on the 15th of January, which we will celebrate in advance on Saturday, January 12 so all the kids invited can come as it is not a school day. It would also give us more time to prepare during the day as both hubby and I have no work on Saturday. We are just working out on the clown and host of the program. We already inquired with Bonjee Entertainment and we found out that it was owned by James Infiesto who is a magician and also a host of a local kiddie program here in Davao called Okido. We somehow got confused because the contact person in Yummy Chicken where we will hold the party endorsed the name Jepoy of Bonjee Entertainment to us only to find out that the said clown is no longer connected to Bonjee Entertainment . Well they might be using it since Bonjee Entertainment is popular but then if we get Bonjee would they still charge us the fee of 500 if we get another clown aside from Jepoy?

Beanie Babies

I saw this Beanie Baby and I instantly feel in love with it. I hope hubby will see and read this post and hopefully he will give it to me as a gift on Valentine's Day or even for my birthday though it is a few months away. Or even on Mother's Day. Anyway there need not be an occasion for hubby to give this to me isn't it? Anyway, with or without it it is okay but would love to get this one for myself one day. But I have a problem though where to keep it coz as of now there is no place for this cuddly stuff in our room yet.

Silver as Investment

Not many of us are familiar with having silver as an investment. But it is indeed available in either coin or ingot form. Silver is considered one of the world's most important industrial commodity. I have read that it can be bought through the Monex Depository Company or MDC for either personal delivery or you can make an arrangement for safe and convenient safekeeping in a bank. It is best to start buying and investing silver now more than ever since world demand for it has gone more than its annual production. I have never though of buying it for an investment but for those who can afford to do so, then they can do it now rather than wait for it be priced more than its worth now.

Weekend Snapshot

My first entries to the Weekend Snapshot for this blog of mine and the first this year for this meme. I am joining in the fun. These photos were taken during one weekend at a wedding held in Eden Nature Park in Davao and the wedding ceremony was held in the St. Michael the Archangel Chapel. I rarely get to see wedding using all white flowers to decorate. But it was simple, pure and still beautiful to look at.

What Kind of Sandwich Are You?

You Are a Ham Sandwich

You are quiet, understated, and a great comfort to all of your friends.
Over time, you have proven yourself as loyal and steadfast.
And you are by no means boring. You do well in any situation - from fancy to laid back.

Your best friend: The Turkey Sandwich

Your mortal enemy: The Grilled Cheese Sandwich
What Kind of Sandwich Are You?

I am not sure though that the Turkey Sandwich is my best friend as I have not tasted one yet in my entire life but I am sure the grilled cheese sandwich is definitely not my mortal enemy. I don't really know what that means. But I am a cheese person and I love cheese! It's probably said as my mortal enemy as it is not good to eat so much of it which I usually do. :)
