Beautiful Rainbow One Morning

Hubby and I were blessed to have a morning bonding shooting and we saw this large rainbow on our back while it was drizzling one early morning when we went to Sta. Ana to have a sunrise shoot since hubby missed the one we had for FPS at the Turtle Sanctuary. It was so beautiful and it just made my day and it was a beautiful morning with hubby that i would not forget.

Just Our Choices in Music

1. What was your first favorite song?
>> There are many... but I remember a song Paraiso of a local quartet called the Smokey Mountain way back.

2. Who was your first favorite female singer?
>> A local but popular singer Regine Velasquez. I am awed by how she could belt out a song then at that time.

3. Who was your first favorite male singer?
>> Also another local but popular singer Martin Nievera is among my favorite male singers.

4. Who was your first favorite band?
>> Of course The Corrs! I love most of their songs which are mostly my favorites too.

5. Who is your all time favorite band?
>> Still The Corrs...

6. Who is your all time favorite male singer?
>> Martin Nievera... I dunno but I always admired the quality of his voice and the lyrics and meaning of his songs.

7. Who is your all time favorite female singer?
>> Hmmmm.... can i skip this for now? :)

8. What is your all time favorite LP/CD album?
>> The Corrs' albums and those of Enya too!

9. What was your first favorite radio station?
>> I cannot remember exactly what station that was.

My son CT showing us his wrinkled nose and posing for the cam when he was playing in his crib while he was waiting for us to give him a bath. He has somehow gotten used to us taking photos of him that when he sees our D60, he would smile and pose sometimes tilting his head to one side while giving us his cute smile. When he is like this which is often, it makes me forget the concerns we have in life. My entry may be way too late as I just remembered the theme yesterday. Better late than never as they would say as a lot of things preoccupy my mind these days as our date for moving nears.

Threesome clouds is my feature for Sky Watch. The three clouds you see in my photo seems to be three entities linked or connected together. If you make your imagination go a little wild you would see a dog on the third one at the left. Do you see it or is it just me? Hehehe :) Happy day everyone!

Another Long Day

Another long day today... it was my ironing day today as I ironed CT clothes that were left hanging in his closet. Since we are moving in a couple of weeks, I felt I need to iron them before we move that is he does not use them by then. But at least I was able to iron all of them. I still have to iron our clothes but I think that can wait longer. Sometimes when I feel my clothes can be worn without the need to be ironed then I would wear them right away. Probably just being practical and not really being lazy as it would serve as a practice to save electricity when we have moved already. We would be paying that bill on our own for the very first time. At home my other sis is the one taking care of the electricity bill while we pay the DSL and water bill.

Now I have to get to bed early though I was so tired today that I was able to sleep around 6PM after CT has just slept. I would not want him to sleep that late since I get worried that he might wake up after a few hours and indeed he woke up at past 8PM and just slept again this 11PM. I really must be sleeping late coz I have another skin outbreak in my jaw and this one is quite big for a pimple. Good thing there is only one but if this multiplies then I should check on getting an acne cure. Maybe it is just brought about by my monthly guest as I would call it and hopefully would just be gone next week. I have to sleep now. Night everyone and sweet dreams!

Pink Motorbike

Here is my other entry for Thursday Challenge - wheels specifically colored pink which is my fave so that makes this motorbike my fave too from that motorshow which was held at the Gaisano Mall of Davao last June 25, 2008. It would be cute to have this but given how expensive these customized wheels can be, maybe I would have a car instead coz I would be protected just in case it rains. But I doubt though if the owners of these motorbikes drive them often in the streets. It would be risky unless it is insured.

Red Ottoman

I saw this red ottoman which is new to the recently renovated and re-opened KFC branch at the SM City Davao. These are new additions to their dining area and are only available in the entrance area. I think there were only a few of these. I like them coz they are cushioned. I noticed that a lot of people prefer using these ottomans than the usual seats at KFC.

Curious as a Cat

1) What is the hardest secret you've ever had to keep?
>> So far none and if ever there is one, I would surely not tell.

2) If your soul were to be represented by a color, what color would it be?
>> Pink for femininity and joy!

3) Define the word "hypocrite."
>> A person whose actions contradict their stated beliefs or feelings.

4) If you had to trade closets with someone you know, whose wardrobe would you like to have? (assume the clothes would magically fit)
>> With someone that I really know? Maybe no one but if it were a celebrity, I would like those of Eva Longoria Parker.

5) Show and Tell. What comes to mind first when you see this picture? Or, tell a story if it reminds you of one.
>> A front porch like the one we have at home but we do not have that white steel frame though.

Another Manic Monday

If you could take more control of one aspect of your life, what would it be?
>> Emotional aspect especially some frustrations and being easily disappointed in people who should be good examples to me like my eldest sister whose children have become our responsibility. I wish she would grow up and become responsible. Going out even on holidays with work being an excuse for someone working in the government is something I cannot understand. We are moving out because I am hoping that I could focus more on taking care of my own family coz having her children which she leave behind most of the time, it is just too much stress for me. Hoping for a more peaceful family environment with less noise and fighting of these children everyday. I want my CT to be more behave and less exposed to my nephews acts and behavior which sometimes is hard for us to control with their mom saying they are just kids as an excuse. She can say that probably because she escapes the house as often as she can and she is not there most of the time to really take care of her children. So I hope I won't be like that. So going independent though it won't be financially easy for us would still be a good move I hope and pray.

If you were to name the difference between the male soul and the female soul, what would it be?
>> A female is more complex yet decisive and caring, while the male is more protective.

If you had to admit the most selfish thing you do on a regular basis, what would you say it is?
>> Craving for food and eating. But hopefully that would be "regulated" when we move. :)

Sore and Sunburn

I feel sore and I have a sunburn. I did not find my sunblock the other night and was not able to buy one before yesterday's Indak-indak shoot. My butt feel sore from sitting at the cement right in front of the stage during the afternoon presentation of the Indak-indak. The police were strict and even with our FPS IDs they would not let us in without the green sticker for media access pass. Good thing we were given the stickers. It was worth the effort to patiently wait for it.

Sitting in front of the stage to shoot was an experience I could not forget. Hubby and I took turns with the Nikon D60 and the Canon Powershot. I got the sunburn in the morning during the time we were shooting at the area in front of Marco Polo where we were positioned with the judges stage to our left just a few feet away with us facing the sun's direction. Lyn and I bought shawls at the Aldevinco just across Marco Polo but still I got my face burned. Then it was worth it. I was happy shooting with hubby and my fellow FPS members. With us there were Dex (FPS admin) with his wife Ivy then hubby, me, Lyn2x were there shooting the whole time.

The Street Dancing ended around 10:30am. It started past 8AM I think. We were even late for the 6:30-7AM meet at the Marco Polo but still when we arrived there the parade has not yet started. We had many pics but some were not as what we wanted them to be coz the performers sometimes moves so fast and they change position so fast. Well next year we better get a f2.8. We will try to save for that. And we should have that cloth to sleeves protect our arms. Hubby's skin in his arms were sunburned as well as mine. But hopefully it will fade away in time. I am still getting back my energy. It has been a long while since I had been under the sun that long for such a whole day affair. It was really hot as what the forecast said yesterday morning. Thank God for the good weather but I was kind of hoping it would have not been as hot as it was yesterday. We perspired a lot and I did not have the time much more the energy to change my shirt. We had extra shirts with us yet we felt so tired. But the experience was good.

This year was the first time I watched it in front near the stage even if I was literally squatting on the street along with other FPS members and photographers from the media covering the event. The soreness in my body is fading away though my butt still hurt till now. I hope hubby is okay. He had availed of a day off yesterday so he can join the shoot. He we will work OT shift tonight since one of his officemate transferred to another department and in ongoing training in Manila. They are short in manpower as of the moment especially when one of them is on day off. Oh my We still have to over the pics we have. I'll try to post some here or in my main blog perhaps. But still too tired. Tomorrow is yet another holiday but we have things to follow-up tomorrow so I am not sure we could rest well.

Should Be Sleeping By Now

Hubby and I should be sleeping right now as tomorrow will probably be a long day. Tomorrow will be the Indak-indak sa Kadalanan or the Street Dancing Competition and the Fanatic Photographers Society (FPS) will be having a shoot. Assembly time will be around 6:30-7:00AM so that means we have only five hours sleep that is if we sleep now. We had a long day as we arrived home late tonight as me, hubby, CT and my niece Marian went to SM and the agro fair. Would like to post pics but am too tired right now and we are charging the batteries of the cams.

We will be bringing two camers tomorrow, D60 and the Canon Powershot A710IS. I hope I will be able to get decent shots tomorrow. It is my first time to shoot with FPS members. We have been doing our own shoot before but with a P&S not a DSLR so still hoping to get clear and good shots. Anyway, I still have other things to do before I sleep so bye for now. I might be gone the whole day tomorrow. So memes for tomorrow will be done the next day maybe or skip them for this week if the case may be. Night everyone! Need some sleep now.

Time for Fill-ins

1. Dancing to the songs in Mamma Mia while doing the house chores makes me more relaxed and at ease.

2. The last time I went to the mall I nearly bought something I should not buy yet.

3. When I drive I surely would drive carefully.

4. I saw my baby CT standing up now because my nephews again are so noisy that CT cannot sleep.

5. Give me a MacBook, give me a D300, give me a Nikkor macro lens.

6. Next week I am looking forward to fixing things for our move finally and hopefully soon.

7. And as for the weekend, tonight I’m looking forward to time with hubby or a food trip or shoot perhaps, tomorrow my plans include FPS Indak-indak sa Kadalanan shoot the whole day and Sunday, I want to go to SM or People's Park for the Floral Float Parade which is a part of the ongoing week long Kadayawan Festival here in Davao!

My Girl's Kim Chiu and Gerald Anderson at SM on August 23 @4PM

Tomorrow August 23 (Saturday), Dabawenyo fans of Kim Chiu and Gerald Anderson will get the chance to watch the lead stars of ABS-CBN top-rating show "My Girl" as they perform live at the SM City Event center at 4PM.
My niece is kind of excited to go and watch Kim Chiu but am not sure if her mom will bring her there. Probably her Tita Carol will. We will probably be at the Indak-indak sa Kadalanan (Street Dancing Competition) FPS' shoot but I might convince hubby for us to peek there in SM in between breaks from the Indak-indak.

Goodbye Summer Love

I have finally changed the look of this home which has been a plan months and months ago but just realized today. I have foregone with my old Summer Love blogger template. I changed it to this WP Premium Blogger template. Thanks to my hubby who helped me tweak this new look of this blog. He found the template this afternoon and I decided to settle for it. But if a better "look" we might find later on then maybe, just maybe I would change it again. Hahaha no net yet let me gt used to this look then maybe we can think about finding a new one. If you have any suggestions then feel free to kindly let me know about it. Hope you will continue to visit me here. A change would be for wanting more good things to come.

Stairway to Heaven

When I saw this I instantly thought of a stairway and they say it might be a stairway to heaven. Might be but not for human who would surely fall back to earth since the clouds could not simply hold their weight as they step on it. I am incorporating my Wordless Wednesday and Sky Watch entries here for this week since I might be quite busy in the coming days due to the Kadayawan Festival and some important matters. :)

It's That Time Again

It is that time again in the month where I would have my visitor and have skin break out. I really do not have acne but sometimes it seems like one breakout would look like an acne especially when I am really stressed out, lack sleep and been eating some food that would make me prone to such break out. My sis has been telling me that I really need to see the dermatologist if I do really get worried and she also recommended the Proactiv acne cream that some of the people she knew have tried out and she has seen the ad on TV too being endorsed by some Hollywood celebrities. Maybe it is indeed worth a try when I really feel it does not disappear after my period.

Colorful Birthday Cake

This is the COLORFUL princess themed birthday cake of Ella, the daughter of my hubby's officemate who celebrated her 1st birthday last July 18 at Harana. My baby CT was able to join in the fun and enjoyed the puppet show for the kids.

Looking for Halloween Costumes

I was hopping about the blogosphere over the past few days and somehow I found other blogger friends especially the mommies working online and the stay at home moms like me who are already on the look out for nice Halloween Costumes for their very own kids for this year's coming Halloween party and the kids favorite trick or treating. So hubby and I are not the only ones early for the hunt of costumes for our dear kids.

I want our baby son CT to experience the trick or treat at the mall. I know he is too young to really appreciate it at less than two years of age but I have seen kids about his age maybe even younger who are also joining in the fun of trick or treating in the mall which is an annual event here. Well parents love to dress up their kids with their especially during Halloween and that is what I found out last year which we missed for CT to join in. We did not find a costume that would fit CT's small frame then last year. But now I have found this shop online which sells halloween costumes and I am glad that I have found it as the prices are cheaper than the costumes for kids that I saw in a local store here. I would love to buy this baby bug plush costume that I found in Costume Cauldron.

Since I have flexi time this year unlike last year when I was still working so I have to make sure CT will not miss the fun this year. It will be a family affair for us and hopefully CT will have a lot of fun too and meet new kiddie friends there. I remember I will stop by Shakey's coz the last time we were there when I was still pregnant with CT they promised that they will give my baby lots of treats when the time comes he will join the mall's trick or treat. I will go there and remind them and hopefully they will remember. :)

Show Me The Teeth

(photo removed)

Just last night I was telling the little boy to open his mouth and show his cousins his four molars and when I said show me your teeth, he looked my way and showed me instead just his lower front teeth and his smile. Happy WS and may you have a great week ahead! :)

Shopping Online

While I was looking for a watch from Guess, I did not notice that hubby has also been searching online for other styles and brand from those Nautica watches he once saw me looking at online. He said I might find something that I want there. Well I would not mind starting my own collection of watches. I could actually find many that I like and want so it is just a matter of having the budget to acquire them one by one unless someone would give them to me as gifts. How wonderful that would be!

Monday Blues

Saw these clouds last Monday at half past five in the afternoon when we went for a stroll to the nearby church's open space. The blue sky with scattered fine tiny clouds. Happy Friday and enjoy the Sky Watch! Enjoy the weekend ahead as well!

St. Jude Parish

This is the St. Jude Parish located at Malvar St., Davao City and this is where I used to go for daily (as much as I can), Feast Days, special occasions and novena masses. This is the near my old office and I would just walk to the church in the afternoon after work. It has been awhile since I hear mass here. Last Friday, we attended the First Friday Mass after my son CT's scheduled vaccination with his pedia at the Davao Doctors' Medical Tower which is just walking distance. That's it for now. Hope you will have a great week ahead!

Online Shopping

Online shopping can really be addicting. I was just browsing through some online stores earlier this evening and I have already found many items I just wanna buy right there and then. I know hubby won't be happy with so much shopping since we really have to save for some plans we had later this year and next year. But for now I am enjoying myself checking out those sale of laptops and notebooks since I have talked to hubby about a possible change and giving up my notebook and buy a new one which would be better for what I need right now.

My notebook is getting old and I was looking into those notebooks with crystal brite and better screens. My notebook is not that fast and good anymore and I have been complaining once in awhile of problems I have encountered with my laptop. Maybe it is time for an upgrade in my unit or switch to another brand where I can find one which is smaller and more portable and lighter but of course we cannot ignore that it must perform and process faster and better. Anyway, I have to stop now otherwise I might really be tempted to shop online. Those notebooks I saw are so tempting especially the smaller ones. I still have to discuss this with hubby and see where our finances will bring us. I have to rest for now since it is late already.

PH: Clouds

Clouds is the theme for Photo Hunt this week and her is my entry here a cloud formation that caught our attention. This was taken about two months ago. My nephews said then it looks like a fish... a person skating... and they went on with their wild imagination. How about you? Do you see anything from it? What do you see? Happy hunting and enjoy the weekend!
