" I can hold my bottle" : )

My in-laws came to the house for their regular week end visit and our baby showed them that he can hold his own milk bottle while feeding. They were really amazed. I guess anything our baby does for the first time is great for first time grand parents like them. My hubby and I on our part are proud of our baby as well. I guess every first time parents would feel like we do too. : )

The Sky : )

We were walking with my hubby in our neighborhood and as always he brought along his digicam. I just wanna share one of the pictures he took which I like best. Scenes like this clears up my mind from everyday worries and opens my mind to the beauty of our nature. It also reminds me that sometimes the best things in life are indeed free. Enjoy life! :)

Baby's 4th Month Birthday! : )

May 15, 2007 it's our baby's 4th month birthday and we bought him a Goldilocks chocolate mousse cake. We placed a cake topper face of Pooh which is my favorite character for my baby's things. We had lunch at Shakey's in SM. For the first time we tried to have our baby sit on a high chair. But it seems uncomfortable and too big yet for him that he would sway to the side. After lunch we went around for a while and went home to take pictures for his album. How time flies for our baby is now 4 months old! : )

LARGE An Exhibit on Photo Abstraction

(standing L-R) Wig Tysmans, Ben Cab, Bien Bautista, Pancho Escaler
(seated L-R) Jojo Guingona, Jaime Zobel, Emil Davocol & Quincy Castillo

LARGE An Exhibit on Photo Abstraction was held at the SM Davao Entertainment Plaza as part of its 2007 roadshow exhibit in 8 SM branches nationwide. My hubby and I went there to look at the photographic art works of a group of 8 artists who are called the "Large 8". Their works are indeed in LARGE sizes over 6 feet by 10 feet. It's said to be the largest exhibit of its kind in Asia. I rarely get to see this kind of exhibits too. It was a great experience. I particularly liked the work of Jaime Zobel, his "Red Exuberance"(right). I liked my hubby's photo too taken there also shown below.

Market Basket @Damosa

Hubby and I went for the first time to Market Basket in Damosa, Lanang, Davao City who had a soft opening last February 18, 2007. It's across Damosa Gateway and near the office of Link2Support. It’s good for those who want to shop, dine and be entertained in one comfortable and spacious place. They have a sort of tiangge that displays low-priced variety of items and basic services. Shops found there are Charlie's Bakeshop, Piccolo Mondo, Eden’s Lechon, Shop Fast, Shawarma King, Jaltan, Davao Binalot, Big Chang Gee, Heavenly Taste, Mt. Shake, Fiorgelato, Mad’z Food shop, Tiny Kitchen, Style in Motion, Bitbit Pasalubong, atbp., Merco, Shop Court and a lot more.

Red Ribbon

Another food trip... after going to my baby's doctors for a check-up, we went to SM and ate at Red Ribbon and wanted to order their meal that includes a slice of Chocolate Torte but instead ordered the one with a slice Honey Cake. I should have chosen the first coz I wasn't able to taste the honey comb crunch but then it's still yummy. We usually order their chocolate mousse cake if there are special occasions. It's much more expensive compared to other bakeshops but I think it's the best among all choco mousse cake I've tasted.

Went Malling on Labor Day

My hubby, baby, my sister and I spent Labor Day at Gaisano Mall partly to look at the job openings during the local Jobs Fair conducted by the Department of Labor and Employment at the atrium... and partly to just spend the day with our baby at the mall. It's actually our baby's first time there. He seems to find the place quit noisy coz every now and then he would get startled. After going around and riding their elevator a few times, we had a heavy snack @Port Cafe. I remembered when I was still working, my officemate and I would go there to have lunch during Saturday (we only have office in the morning during Saturdays and our office building is just across the mall) and we'd love to eat their Sansrival and we both like to order their buttered pork chop. My hubby likes their grilled pork chop. Hmmm makes me hungry just thinking about it.
